Today my granddaughter talked about limericks.  We put our heads together and found the exact words to “There was a lady from Niger who smiled . . .”  After that we created a limerick of our own.  Such fun.  Many of the limericks written are not suitable for youngsters but they should be and could be because they are such fun.  So here are some first lines for limericks – keeping young ones in mind, have fun.  There was a young lady who could play

on her Nintendo DS night and day . . .      or what about

There was a small mouse who could cook

and was smart and could read a good book . . .
